13-14 Division Information

The emphasis in the Senior Division continues to be FUN and instruction. A 12" ball is used. Players will continue to refine the fundamnetals of hitting, bunting, fielding, throwing, running, stealing bases, and strategy. League rules are in place to ensure the girls play as many innings and a variety of positions during the season, however, position specialization is emphasized. All players retain their position in the batting order during the game whether or not they are in the field. Youth pitching is used for batting. The "Dropped Third Strike" rule is introduced. Teams compete in the DuKane Girls Softball League and season ends with a double elimination tournament in late June.
